Information Collection (Perform Investigation Activities in Compliance with Legal Requirements) (Classroom & Asynchronous)

Information Management (Perform Investigation Activities in Compliance with Legal Requirements) (Classroom & Asynchronous) is designed to equip security officers with the knowledge and skills to effectively perform investigation activities in compliance with legal requirements and transfer the learning acquired to their workplace.

 

The learning units are sequenced in a ‘Simple-to-Complex’ approach starting with LU1: Job roles and responsibilities of Investigator which covers the fundamentals of duties and responsibilities of an Investigator in Singapore’s context. This foundation will be built on in the subsequent LUs to cover topics such as legislative requirements in investigation assignments, surveillance activities, post-surveillance activities, learners will next learn to apply the knowledge and skills to effectively perform investigation activities in compliance with legal requirements and transfer the learning acquired to their workplace, which includes:
1. Job roles and responsibilities of Investigator
2. Legislative requirements in investigation assignments
3. Surveillance activities
4. Post-surveillance activities


Entry Requirements

  • Minimum GCE N Pass in English or equivalent

  • Able to read, write, speak and listen to English at WPN Level 4

  • Able to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4

  • Age 21 years and above

  • Experience in Security Industry: At least 3 years working as a Senior Security Officer

*Individuals who do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance
