The Progressive Wage Model (PWM) for Security Officers

The PWM for Security Officers was developed by the Security Tripartite Cluster (STC).  It covers all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents employed as security officers in licensed security agencies.
 

The Security Progressive Wage Model (PWM) introduces a 5-level career progression model for officers to progress from Security Officer (SO) to Chief Security Officer (CSO). Officers are required to meet the years of experience and training requirements to progress up the career ladder.

As officers progress, they can look forward to better wages that correspond with their skills and productivity.

Note:

Existing Security Officers (SOs) need to pass OBSE by 31 Dec 2025 to retain SO rank 

Learners who have completed PGPS&OBSE need not take OBSE

Experience Required:

At least 6 months experience as Security Officer to progress to Senior Security Officer

Security Supervisor

1 Compulsory Module

 

+2 of any of the following modules

Experience Required:

At least 1 year  experience as a Senior Security Officer  to progress to Security Supervisor

Senior Security Supervisor

1 Compulsory Module

 

+3 of the following modules

Experience Required:

At least 1 year 6 months experience as a Security Supervisor to progress to Senior Security Supervisor

Chief Security Officer 

1 Compulsory Module

 

+2 of any of the following modules

Experience Required:

At least 2 years experience as SSS to progress Chief Security Officer
