Union Training Assistance Programme

NTUC members enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP. NTUC members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees, for courses attended between 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2022. SkillsFuture Credit

Opening SkillsFuture Credit of $500


Singaporeans aged 25 years old and above will receive a one-off $500 credit that can be used to offset the cost of all SkillsFuture Credit eligible courses.

One-off SkillsFuture Credit Top-up

A one-off SkillsFuture Credit topup of $500 will be provided to every Singapore Citizen aged 25 years and above as at 31 December 2020. This top-up can be used on all SkillsFuture Credit-eligible courses.

Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support)

A one-off SkillsFuture Credit of $500 will be provided to every Singaporeans aged 40-60 years old as at 31 December 2020. Individuals can use the additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) to offset the course fees for:

(i)  SGUnited Skills Programme

(ii) SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme - Company Training 

(iii) Career Transition Programme

SkillsFuture Qualification Award

The SkillsFuture Qualification Award encourages Singaporean workers to attain WSQ full qualifications, which equip them with comprehensive and robust sets of skills to perform their jobs competently, pursue career progression, and explore new job opportunities.

Singaporean workers who attain a WSQ full qualification can apply for a cash award of $200. Your eligibility for the award is based on the date of attainment of your WSQ qualification. Eligible Singaporeans who wish to apply for the award should complete their WSQ qualifications by 31 December 2022, and submit their applications by 31 March 2023.

Application Process

Click on "Apply Now" to submit an application. Please note that you will need to have a Singpass account and a PayNow account linked to your NRIC to apply for the SkillsFuture Qualification Award.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the SkillsFuture Qualification Award, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You have attained a WSQ Qualification within the specified qualifying period

  • You are a Singaporean Citizen at the time of attainment of the qualifying WSQ qualification

  • You are not a full-time student at the Polytechnics or ITE at the time of attainment of the WSQ qualification. This condition does not apply to adults who are in the workforce.

UTAP is a training benefit for NTUC members to defray their cost of training. This benefit is to encourage more NTUC members to go for skills upgrading.

Who can apply?

 

All NTUC members can apply for UTAP. However, the following criteria must be met to be eligible for UTAP:

 

1.      Paid-up NTUC membership before course commenced, throughout whole course duration and at the point of claim

2.      Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP, and training must commence within the supported period

3.      Course must not be fully funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding

4.      You must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any

5.      UTAP application must be submitted within 6 months after course completion

 

How to apply for UTAP?

 

Step 1: Click on 'Search Course' under the "Skills Upgrade Available" tab to find out if the course and training provider is supported under UTAP.

 

Step 2: Register for course with training provider and attend training. For course information and enrolment, please contact the training provider.

 

Step 3: Login to the U Portal account to submit the UTAP application. NTUC Members should apply for their UTAP claim within 6 months after course ends. Late applications will be rejected.
