The “Practitioner Certificate in Personal Data Protection (Singapore) 2020 (WSQ) (Synchronous e-learning)” is developed for individuals working with data such as data protection officers, HR managers and compliance officers. The 3 day course conducted over zoom aims to equip participants with practical data governance and data protection knowledge and skills.
Upon successfully completing the course, participants can take an optional computer-based examination to obtain the Practitioner Certificate for Personal Data Protection (Singapore), co-issued by the PDPC and the International Association for Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Entry Requirements:
Polytechnic Diploma or above
Basic knowledge of data protection principles preferred but not mandatory. Basic data protection knowledge can be acquired through courses such as "WSQ fundamentals of PDPA"
Two years or more working experience would be preferred but not mandatory

Assessment
Two one-hour assessments at end of day 2 and day 3. Each comprises a case scenario followed by open-ended questions
Practitioner Certificate
Participants who have completed the course have the option of registering for an examination administered by the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) where they will be issued with the Practitioner Certificate upon passing the examination.
Participants will need to take this examination within 6 months from the date of course completion.
