This competency unit specifies the knowledge and skills required to effectively supervise Security Officers; within the security environment.
This 2-day course consists of 5 competency elements.
The target participants of this course are the security personnel from the security industry who are assigned to work in premises that they need to have the knowledge and skills required in understanding and complying with legal responsibilities and obligations of a security supervisor working in the security environment or conducted in classroom.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this unit, participants will have the knowledge and skills to effectively perform Supervise Security Officers and transfer the learning acquired to their workplace, which includes:
Study security operations procedures
Supervise direction of security officers
Supervise health and safety at work
Supervise control of security officers
Supervise emergency situations
Entry Requirements
Minimum Secondary 2 education or equivalent; or
Able to read, write, speak and understand English at WPL Level 3
Able to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 3
Age 21 and above
Experience in Security Industry: Senior security and security supervisors
*Individuals who do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance
