Incident Response (Manage Security Emergencies) is designed to equip security officers with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage security emergencies and transfer the learning acquired to their workplace
The learning units are sequenced in a 'Simple-to-Complex' approach starting with Learning Unit 1: Roles and functions of emergency response team; which covers the roles and functions of emergency response team under legislation.
This foundation will be built on in the subsequent learning units to cover topics such as security emergency response plan, minor and major security system emergencies and lastly followed by post-emergency activities.
Learners will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage security emergencies which includes
Roles and functions of emergency response team
Security emergency response plan
Minor security emergencies (business-as-usual)
Major security emergencies (involving authorities)
Post emergency activities
Learners should meet the basic entry requirements as indicated below:
Ability to read, write, speak and listen to WPN Level 5
Ability to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 5
Education: Minimum GCE N pass in English or equivalent
Age: 21 and above
Experience in security industry: At least 3 yearrs working as a senior security officer
Have basic microsoft word skills
Laptop required as there are take home assignments on Microsoft Word
How to Register
Day 1: 8:30am to 5:30pm
Day 2: 8:30am to 5:30pm
Day 3: 8:30am to 5:30pm
Summative Assessment: 3 weeks after training
Interview by Polwel: 1 week after assessment
*Date of written test and oral interview will be released 1 week prior to course start date
The assessment will be conducted by Polwel assessors.
Learners need to attain at least 75% attendance and pass the course in order to obtain a Statement of Attainment.
