Performance Management (Manage Performance of Security Personnel)

Through Performance Management (Manage Performance of Security Personnel), learners will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to manage the performance of security personnel and transfer the learning acquired to the workplace


The learning units are sequenced in a 'Chronological' approach: 


Learning Unit 1: Performance Management; covers topics such as concept of performance management and organisational procedures for staff appraisal. 

Learning Unit 2: Performance Evaluation; covers topics relating to soliciting feedback and the conduct of informal review of staff performance. 

Learning Unit 3: People Development; covers topics relating to establishing areas for improvements for staff as part of people development efforts. Learners will next learn to apply the knowledge and skills to effectively achieve work effectiveness in security environment and transfer the learning acquired to their workplace, which includes:


  1. Performance Management

  2. Performance Evaluation

  3. People Development


Entry Requirements:

Learners should meet the basic entry requirements as indicated below:


  • Ability to read, write, speak, and listen to English at WPL Level 5.

  • Ability to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 5.

  • Education: Minimum GCE N pass in English or equivalent

  • Age: 21 and above

  • Experience in Security Industry: At least 3 years working as a Senior Security Officer
