The WSQ Advanced Certificate in Security is a competency-based training programme to those who aim to be Security Supervisors and Senior Security Supervisors. It is intended to equip officers with supervisory skills to facilitate and manage the work of a team of Security Officers. This programme incorporates both the theoretical and practical aspects of supervisory work in security operations.

How to attain the Full Qualification - Advanced Certificate in Security

Under the Skills Framework for Security, learners are required to complete the following 6 modules to attain full qualification for Advanced Certificate in Security:

​

1. Guard and Patrol: Supervise Security Officers

2. Capability Development: Induct Security Personnel

3. Security Risk Analysis: Assess and Address Security Risks

4. Security Operation Compliance: Perform Supervisory Duties within Legal Framework

5. Manpower Planning: Monitor and Review Security Operations OR Manpower Planning: Conduct Operation Briefing and Debriefing

6. Access Control Management: Deploy Security Equipment (Classroom and Asynchronous)

The assessments are based on role plays, oral questions and written assessments. Each module will equipt trainees with different specialized skills to perform their duties. At the end of each module, participants will be subjected to an assessment to test their competencies on the respective modules.

Upon successful completion of training in the individual course module, a WSQ Statement of Attainment for the respective module will be duly awarded by SSG. After successfully completing the required course modules, you will be awarded a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Security and the related transcript by Skills Future Singapore (SSG).
